Pairs

This is my poem from a couple months ago, I was thinking about that old saying that says that you should turn lemons into lemonade. I started talking about pairs, and how some good things come with a price.

Roses and thorns
Stars and night
Rain and rainbows
Friendships and fights

Lemons and lemonade
Weakness and might
Forest and wilderness
Fire and light

If you want one,
You must deal with the other
They come as a package
Always together

You can’t have roses without thorns
You must be weak before might
You cant have stars without black
Friendship comes with fights

Remembrance day

Now this is just for the fellow Canadians out there! Remembrance day was yesterday, and this is my poem.

All these people gathered
Standing row on row
To remember those who fought for peace
Through hail and rain and snow
We gather here to honour those who gave their lives
Those who breathe no more
Who are buried deep beneath the ground
As they have been since the war
And finally the wreaths lain down
With soft and caring hands
To send a longing message
To those who saved the land

Bloody Red Rose-Emma

This is a week and a half late, but here goes….

(I also had an amazing drawing to put here, but I am still working out how to do that.)

A rose, a beautiful flower with deadly thorns. It’s is a perfect representation of life. Jaw dropping beauty that can disappear in a split second, leaving only sharp thorns and red. Thick red blood dripping off its leaves and forming a puddle of misery at its stem scarring you for the rest of your life.
